FreshMex has been awarded £60,000 & invaluable business support from Scottish EDGE after pitching in front of a panel of top entrepreneurial judges and live auditorium in Round 13 of the funding competition.
The pitch took place at RBS Gogarburn in Edinburgh yesterday, with our Director Robbie Moult taking to the stage to give a passionate 3 minute pitch and survive 7 minutes of intense Q & A’s.
Scottish EDGE is the UK’s largest business funding competition giving innovative entrepreneurs the chance to win much-needed funds to grow their business.
In a bid to try and win £100,000, we managed to secure £60,000 – all of which will be put towards our exciting unit 2 plans for the central belt of Scotland.
Over its past 12 rounds, Scottish EDGE has awarded over £11 million to startup businesses throughout Scotland and has had a huge impact on Scotland’s economy.
The judges were wowed by the level of growth FreshMex has achieved since starting out in 2015 at farmer’s markets, with us now employing more than 26 staff across 2 venues in Aberdeen & achievable goals on the horizon.
We are excited to announce plans for unit 2 beyond Aberdeen as they progress.
